Go to a Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC)

When you arrive at a SARC, you will be taken to a comfortable room where you can talk to staff about what will happen next.

SARC staff are specially trained to support you throughout your visit including during any examination.

They will talk through your options, and help ensure that your individual needs are met, including coordinating any follow up appointments or referrals.

They will help you to access other forms of support such as counselling and therapy.

You can choose to bring someone with you and you will not be rushed into making any decisions.

"Talking to Rob has felt like I am speaking to someone who understands and can empathise with me. Other services I have used in the past have been very bland and not very helpful. I would rate this service 5 out of 5. I feel like Rob isn't pushy or full on. He allows me to control the calls in my own way but equally always has answers for me."
